A note…
GWINNS was born when our founder started creating garments for his own personal wardrobe. He found that the pieces he created were filling gaps in the menswear marketplace.. Amidst his tenure as an emergency medicine doctor in Yorkshire, he created his base collection which GWINNS is preparing to share with the world over the coming months.
GWINNS focuses on assembling a complete modern wardrobe. We draw inspiration from cultural niches and blend those ideas with a refined aesthetic that is grounded in our founding designer’s personal influences.
The majority of the GWINNS collective grew up when the American youth culture started to incorporate Japanese fashion cues and then evolved alongside contemporary styling. As our professional lives led us to the UK, we found ourselves wearing clothes that more appropriately represent that background and our personal and professional ambitions simultaneously.
Each GWINNS piece is designed and created with the wearer’s personal experience in mind and produced in limited numbers. We want our garments to form a relationship with the wearer and contribute to the wearer’s personal expressive processes. Curated fabrics and other components are carefully cut and sewn in London and subsequently processed in other parts of the UK, to create something tastefully unique, just like you.
